What if!

What if I become a stone!
A bright shining piece to play
Throw me around, build your house,
Use me any which way.

What if I become a river!
With water lapping a lonely bay
Raise a flood, quench a thirst
Use me any which way.

What if I become a paper!
That has been soiled every day
Tear to pieces or write your life,
Use me any which way.

What if I become a joker!
A joker -- silly and gay,
Snub me out or laugh aloud
Use me any which way.

Use me; abuse me I will never refrain
Who am I or what can I be;
But the day I pour down like a rain
Don’t run for a shade away from me.

Well said. When we are inconspicuous for some in the world, they realize who we are when they least expect it.

Maybe this is about some of us masked in the form of inanimate objects or forms of nature. But it speaks volumes of how much importance the world chooses to give us, especially those who fail to understand the meaning of respect.

sounds very YOU. confident and vague at the same time. But i fail to understand whom it is for... nevertheless, it did make me feel that you want to break away from the life you are living....

What if someone becomes an idiot!!
Too forgetful to go and too restless,
Let the rain pour down on her....
For a hug....
Without any shade!!!!
